Ruminate Magazine

We invite you to enter the 2009 Janet B. McCabe Poetry Prize. All entries will be read by a blind panel.  The submission deadline for the prize is midnight May 15th, 2009, and the entry fee is $15. $300 will beawarded to the winner and $150 to the runner-up. You may submit up to three poems per entry, no longer than 40 lines each, and you may submit multiple entries.

Winners of the 2009 Short Story Prize will be announced and published in our Spring 2009 issue, which is set to release in mid-March. The final judge for the 2009 Short Story Fiction Prize was award-winning author Bret Lott. Submission fee is $15. $300 will be awarded to the winner and $150 to the runner-up. You may submit one short story per entry and it must be 5000 words or less. There is no entry limit. Please remove name and contact info from the document. All submissions will be read by a blind panel of readers.

Each entrant will receive a free copy of the Spring 2009 Issue and all work submitted will also be considered as part of our general submissions for the Spring 2009 Issue.
